When there is a change in any payroll related infotype, the IT3 fields for Ealiest MD Change (RRDAT) and Mast.data chng.Bonus(RCBON) would be changed if these dates are found to be earlier than the values already in IT 3.
This is based on the infotype config, V_T582A for Payroll retro - field RUREC and the feature used for determining retro (field CYCAL). RUREC can have following values
Blank - means not impacting payroll
R - Change triggers retro in
T - Retro is field dependent as per table T588G - here again the retro can be set for either/both payroll (value 1) & for time eval (or PDC) value 2. If you need both to retro, then the table needs one row for each retro type.
SAP provides feature RETRO for this purpose. You can use this feature or its customized version or any of your own, provided the calling program module provides to fill the fields in the structure used for such changed feature.
Similarly for retro of time eval, the corresponding fields are
IT 3 - PDC recalc (BDERR)
V_T582A - Retro Acct PDC (RURZE), feature: in field CYBDE
Further, payroll retro can occur if the payroll results are present for the for-pay period already from a previous run, even though the IT 3 fields related to payroll retro (RRDAT & RCBON) are cleared. To avoid such retro, the payroll results need to be deleted.
Similarly in order to nullify the PDC retro, the IT 3 field BDERR needs to be cleared and the B2 cluster rows for the employee as related to such retro run date need to be deleted and time eval needs to be rerun for the relevant date or pay period.
